Quick answer
If you want the fastest diagnosis, use the in-app tool:
- Open Copy Not Working?
- Run quick scan
Otherwise, follow the decision tree below.
Decision tree (follow in order)
Step A — Is the connection enabled?
- IF the connection toggle is OFF (Trade Copier → connection list)
- THEN enable it and retest with a tiny trade.
- IF you have no enabled connections at all
- THEN enable one connection (or create one) before continuing.
- ELSE go to Step B.
Step B — Are both accounts connected?
Open Accounts and check the master and receiver status.
- IF either account is disconnected
- THEN reconnect it and retest.
- IF the account is MT4/MT5
- THEN confirm the EA is connected:
- See: MT4/MT5: EA disconnected (fix checklist)
- Trades will not copy until the EA is running and connected.
- ELSE go to Step C.
Step C — What do Logs say?
Open Logs and filter to the time you tested.
- IF you see Symbol not found
- THEN go to Step D (Symbol mapping).
- IF you see Invalid volume / invalid lot size
- THEN go to Step E (Sizing / lot rules).
- IF you see Insufficient margin / not enough funds
- THEN go to Step F (Margin).
- IF you see Market closed
- THEN wait for market hours or test on another symbol.
- IF you see no receiver activity at all (no copy attempt)
- THEN re-check Steps A and B, then run Copy Not Working? → quick scan.
Step D — Symbol mapping (very common)
Different brokers/platforms use different symbol names.
Examples:
GOLD→XAUUSDUS30→DJ30NAS100→USTEC
Fix:
- Open Trade Copier
- Open the connection’s Symbol Mapping
- Map master symbol → receiver symbol
- Save and retest
See: Trade Copier: Symbol mapping (what it is + common mappings)
Step E — Order rejected (invalid volume / lot size)
This means the receiver broker rejected the calculated lot size.
Fix:
- Reduce sizing on the connection (try Fixed Lots with a small value like
0.01) - Retest
See: Troubleshooting: Order rejected (invalid volume / lot size)
Step F — Insufficient margin / not enough funds
Fix:
- Reduce sizing on the connection
- Free up margin on the receiver (close other trades / reduce exposure)
- Retest
See: Troubleshooting: Insufficient margin / not enough funds
If it still doesn’t copy (Escalate)
Use the in-app support flow (recommended):
- Open Copy Not Working?
- Run quick scan
- Click Open support ticket
- Add: - What you expected vs what happened - Example symbol(s) - Approx time (and timezone)
This includes diagnostics + last 24h logs automatically.
