Telegram: Common provider formats we support (and how to adapt)

Created by Levi Dane, Modified on Tue, 30 Dec, 2025 at 5:25 AM by Levi Dane

Quick answer

Telegram providers vary. The goal is to reliably extract:

  • Symbol
  • Direction (buy/sell)
  • SL
  • TP (optional)

If your provider format is unusual:

  1. Capture 2–3 example messages
  2. Use the Telegram config test tools (if available)
  3. Adjust keywords and parsing options

Common formats

Format A (simple)

Example:

  • BUY EURUSD
  • SL 1.0800
  • TP 1.0900

Format B (multi-TP)

  • SELL GOLD
  • SL 2410
  • TP1 2400
  • TP2 2390

Format C (entry range)

  • BUY NAS100 18020–18040
  • SL 17950
  • TP 18120

How to adapt safely

  1. Don’t over-filter with keywords initially (avoid missing signals)
  2. Avoid removing critical words like SL/TP or the symbol
  3. Fix symbol naming with Symbol Mapping

Verify it worked

  1. Confirm Logs show parsed fields correctly
  2. Confirm receiver trades match the parsed output
