Telegram Receiver: How it works

Created by Levi Dane, Modified on Tue, 30 Dec, 2025 at 10:40 PM by Levi Dane

Quick answer

Telegram as a receiver is for notifications: the app sends you messages about trade events.

It does not replace your trading receiver account (MT/cTrader/etc). It’s an additional receiver used to keep you informed.

What you’ll see

Depending on your settings, you can receive Telegram messages when:

  • A position opens
  • A position closes
  • SL/TP is modified
  • A position is partially closed

Where to configure it

Open Telegram Receiver Message Configuration and choose:

  • Which event types you want
  • What the message template looks like

Best practices

  • Start with Opened + Closed only
  • Add Modified only if you really need it (it can be noisy)
  • Keep templates short and consistent
