Quick answer
Telegram as a receiver is for notifications: the app sends you messages about trade events.
It does not replace your trading receiver account (MT/cTrader/etc). It’s an additional receiver used to keep you informed.
What you’ll see
Depending on your settings, you can receive Telegram messages when:
- A position opens
- A position closes
- SL/TP is modified
- A position is partially closed
Where to configure it
Open Telegram Receiver Message Configuration and choose:
- Which event types you want
- What the message template looks like
Best practices
- Start with Opened + Closed only
- Add Modified only if you really need it (it can be noisy)
- Keep templates short and consistent
